Peppermint Mocha Iced Tea Recipe

In NYC, it is SO hot!  I swear that I could fry an egg on the pavement.  The only good thing about NYC summers is that the streets are mostly empty because the 'Hamptons set' have left for their summer homes and left wild NYC streets to us locals!

This summer my new obsession is our Peppermint Mocha Iced Tea.  We make this cool drink using our deliciously decadent Chocolate Guilt black tea.  This refreshing drink is loaded with rich black tea, sweet peppermint, chocolatey goodness and creamy sweet cream (I totally use sweetened condensed milk).  I loved it so much that I'm sharing the recipe with you!

Also - Enjoy 10% off Chocolate Guilt for the month of July!

Yield: Serves 4-6  Total Time: 1 hour

Ingredients:

Chocolate Guilt Mix Ingredients:

Peppermint Mocha Assembly:

  • Pre-made Chocolate Guilt tea mix (see below)
  • half and half (some folks also use coconut milk, whole milk, sweetened condensed milk)
  • ice

Directions:

Chocolate Guilt Mix Directions

  1. Bring water to boil and add Chocolate Guilt. Add sugar and gently stir to completely dissolve sugar. Gently boil tea for about 3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  2. Allow tea to steep for at least 30 minutes and allow it to cool. The more concentrated the tea flavor, the better the tea tastes.
  3. Strain the tea leaves. Set finished tea aside to cool.
  4. You can make this ahead of time and have the chocolate guilt tea chilling in the fridge.

Assembly Directions

  1. Fill glasses with ice.
  2. Fill glass with about 3/4 full of the Chocolate Guilt tea mix. Then top off remainder of glass with half and half.
  3. Stir and enjoy.
